ENCOURAGEMENT TO ETERNAL FOCUS IN UNITY AND FELLOWSHIP OF THE GOSPEL

If God created everything, where did sin come from?  Why was it necessary to destroy and deluge everything as opposed to simply ridding the creation of Lucifer and the other rebels?  Is the fabric of the universe so intertwined that sin can affect the non-spiritual creation?

      Opinion: God creates individual creations with freewill to choose action and activity. Lucifer was the first of God's creations to chose self will apart from God's Divine will. Man followed in the same choice. Sin is to miss the mark. It is doing anything apart from the will of God the Father in any matter. Sin is not material; it is an action or activity. One cannot create an action or activity. One can create material or spiritual existence. I assume it is like noun and verb. One creates a person, place or thing. One cannot create a verb or an action. A verb is a description of the creating. While in the sense of "noun" God created us and everything else - as creations our activity in the sense of "verb" is done so by our own free choice. We are not robots or extensions of God.

        Lucifer had a job in the previous creation. He was the "prince of the air" which means to breathe. I have assumed he made the previous creation function as God designed. When he chose to sin God judged Lucifer and the war affected the material creation in destruction. On many levels we see the same consequence of innocent suffering from decisions or actions of others. When a cell in infected with a virus T-cells degranulate with enzymes that not only destroy the infected cell but neighboring cells as well. That is why one aches all over from the inflammatory response. War on a larger level does the same. Bombs explode to do great damage to often innocent and neighboring structures. The war in heaven against Lucifer was very destructive for the creation. Lucifer and his followers were authoritatively removed from God’s presence against the wishes of the most powerful angel ever created. Lucifer is now contained in the realm of the earth separated from God the Father as the now "prince of darkness." As shown in Romans 8:20ff the creation really had no choice in the matter. I assume God could have chosen to completely destroy the material creation and start over. However that would not have glorified His love and compassion in redeeming to Himself children in Christ.

John 1:12-14
